What a Flock! is the creative musing of Catherine Petway. Attracted to art, music, craft and interior design, she realized that her talents could be shared with others to make life more interesting. Looking for an outlet to reach people, Catherine started out on the internet for free; a blog, a website, social networking, tweeting and any other forum she could find to share her thoughts with the world. (Like we needed one more idiot on the web.) She worked to build a network of like-minded people who wanted to try new things, simplify their lives, and have a good time.
As the ideas progressed, a need to organize things so that people could easily find what they like emerged, because no-one likes to dig through thousands of results in a query. That is when the first friend arrived. Pearl Peacock flew in to help protect all the ideas that were more traditional and classic like a mother hen. Shortly then other feathered friends arrived to help with things that they liked. And soon the flock of odd birds, misfits, and questionable characters was assembled. The world was safe to navigate again.
Today, Catherine Petway is working on entering more traditional publishing venues and writing a book. She is also looking to add video communications to her current collection media outlets. The What a Flock! team also includes other creative people who offer ideas and projects that are regularly featured in her media outlets.
Catherine Petway is a self-taught creative thinker and head of the bunch of nuts that make up this organization. She takes her work seriously but has a generous dose of silliness inside her that lets her approach life, creativity and herself in a more casual way. Husband Phillip is her foundation and needs to lighten up a little bit. Son Jeremy has great taste and a musical soul. Daughter Madison is non-stop energy and the brightness in the day. Together the family keeps Catherine busy and happy. The entire family lives in a house that is not big enough for them and two pets in Bethlehem, Georgia, USA.
